Apollo International Hotel - Newcastle Accommodation

The staff make your stay a pleasurable experience, they go out of their way to welcome you and make your stay enjoyable. We stayed in a 2 bedroom family room. The rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. Balcony's overlooking the pool and bushland are an added bonus. Room service is exceptional and would recommend as the staff catered to our dietary needs and the steak was cooked exactly as ordered. Breakfast from the menu has a good variety, is good value, fast service and was enjoyed by the whole family. Excellent food, great staff, very clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent on site parking choices and location. We ordered room service after a very long day of driving, food was hot when it arrived at our room, very generous portions and reasonably priced. Really impressed with the hotel and facilities and the fact that they didnt charge us for our 7 year old to have a continental breakfast with us. Most other places charge you a full fee for your child, for them to only eat a bowl of cereal or piece of toast. So grateful we found this hotel in Charlestown. After suffering a car breakdown and needing an emergency night in Newcastle with my 2 children this hotel was amazing, room was huge, kids had their own beds and I had my own room with a king and was far cheaper and superior than the hotel we stayed in the night before. The staff at Best Western Apollo International were exceptional. I was limited in my walking ability and they met my request for a room on the ground level, and in fact had gone a step further by giving us a disability room. Our room was great! We booked this for a small meeting, overnight, not really sure what to expect. We were blown away. Room was amazing. We had the 2 x Queen room. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. It had everything that you would need for a holiday or business trip. The bathroom was large and very clean. The guest soaps smelt amazing. Some undercover parking, which was nice to not have to pay for. Our room was on the main road side, but we were unable to hear the traffic. Overall, great place to stay at!!!

Best Western Plus Apollo International Hotel is a must stay if you’re travelling to Newcastle . From the moment you walk In the door, to the time you leave you are given 110% customer service (which today I find is VERY RARE.) The rooms are large, spotlessly clean ,Very quiet.. super comfy bed.. Great shower. There is nothing you could fault when staying here. The staff are always very HELPFUL, nothing is a problem for them. For us we will ALWAYS return to this great hotel when we are visiting, as not only are you close to everything, there service is AMAZING. Best stay with family! We stayed on boxing day, on our way to Brisbane. Staff members really friendly and courteous. Room also very clean and comfortable. Easy to get around to town centre. We had a group of about 20 stay for a netball tournament. The staff were so accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. We love staying at The Apollo. It's a lovely comfortable place to stay. The staff are always welcoming and the best breakfast in the morning at Babbington a too. I have conducted events in similar venues over the past 30 years throughout Australia and internationally but the experience I enjoyed at the Apollo was absolutely superb in every aspect. It’s rare to have things flow so seamlessly which is why the Apollo will always be front of mind as the benchmark for how things should be handled. The friendly front-of-house staff, the incredibly accommodating Steve who was awesome with his flawless attention to detail (he should run courses for event managers), the fantastic food and kitchen/ wait staff service, the accommodation itself, all simply amazing. We had our 50th wedding anniversary party here last Saturday evening in the Functions Room. The event was a spectacular success, food absolutely outstanding and plenty of it, drinks reasonably priced and Function Room hire waived as we booked out many, many hotel rooms for our guests. Never have we been to a function where Canapes were so plentiful or delicious. The mains in particular were so well prepared and melt in the mouth, that many guests are considering holding functions here. Our guests were glowing in their praise of everything. Wait staff were courteous and attentive, a dance floor, microphone and table service all arranged for us. Steve, the Conference and Events Manager, was simply magnificent and nothing was a problem to him. Whomever hired him deserves a raise. I went to Newcastle to visit my 103 year old Mother who is in aged care. I asked my sister who lives in Newcastle to find a hotel which would cater for my needs as a wheelchair user. She checked out many hotels before settling on the Apollo International. This hotel had just refurbished and had four rooms dedicated to the disabled. My room was splendid, wider doors and fully equipped bathroom. The restaurant facilities were the best I have come across in many years. Great food and service. The other accommodation suppliers in the Newcastle area should take a leaf out of Apollo's book and make the same type of accommodation as they did as there are practically none of them doing this. Free parking, check in easy because the staff are wonderful. The rooms are enormous- all with a couch, which is great. Impeccably clean. It is an easy walk to Charlestown shops and despite being on the Pacific Highway there is no road noise. I had the pleasure of spending a night at the Apollo with a friend. As soon as we entered we were greeted with a friendly smile. The room was smart and well appointed with a balcony looking out on beautiful trees. It felt so relaxing and quiet.
