I went to Newcastle to visit my 103 year old Mother who is in aged care. I asked my sister who lives in Newcastle to find a hotel which would cater for my needs as a wheelchair user. She checked out many hotels before settling on the Apollo International. This hotel had just refurbished and had four rooms dedicated to the disabled. My room was splendid, wider doors and fully equipped bathroom. The restaurant facilities were the best I have come across in many years. Great food and service. The other accommodation suppliers in the Newcastle area should take a leaf out of Apollo's book and make the same type of accommodation as they did as there are practically none of them doing this. Top marks Apollo! - Martin, Trip Advisor, 3/8/22
Free parking, check in easy because the staff are wonderful. The rooms are enormous- all with a couch, which is great. Impeccably clean. It is an easy walk to Charlestown shops and despite being on the Pacific Highway there is no road noise. There is no better place to stay in the Newcastle area than here. - Richard, Booking.com, 24/7/22
Great position for our stopover, very welcoming staff and reception area. Room was clean and comfortable. The on-site restaurant was just exceptional for dinner and breakfast. We loved everything. - Robyn, Booking.com
Exceptional service - staff are very professional, friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable, with everything needed, supplied... wifi was easy to connect, the environment was pleasant, easy to work in and easy to relax in for the remainder of the night. - Trip Advisor user, 20/7/22
Great staff, easy check in and spacious and well appointed rooms. We had a family room and a king room for our family, with rooms being far nicer than our standard motel. Bedding was as good as hotels twice the price. Onsite restaurant looked nice though we did not eat there. Easy parking out the front. Everyone very happy - we would definitely stay there again. - Trip Advisor user, 13/7/22
What a great team - Richard - Jane and the crew, Chef - Waitress and Room Service second to none!! The only place to Stay in Newcastle!! I could talk about this place all night long! - Trip Advisor user, 28/6/22
Everything 100% Rooms were huge, very clean and comfortable Every staff member we encountered was friendly, from the front desk, to Dining room staff to room cleaners. Nothing was a bother. Onsite Restaurant was clean, food was lovely and prices great. Dining staff were brilliant. The whole hotel is clean and inviting, plenty of parking 100% would stay again and recommend. Nicest hotel we have ever stayed in - Trip Advisor user, 23/6/22
Best place to stay in Newcastle, highway location but very little noise. Stayed in a king room which was huge, with a couch which I love. Clean and tidy and cleaning was prompt and efficient. Good gym. Easy walk to Charlestown Square...great spot. - Richard W, Trip Advisor, 21/5.22
Great location. Nice rooms with a gorgeous bush view with bell birds and whip birds of a morning We had a king room great size and tea and coffee and mini bar in the room . Restaurant bar and grill at this location too . Easy parking. 15 mins to Merewether beach front cafes and restaurants. 35 mins from the airport. 10 mins to Westfield if you need a shop. Staff friendly and helpful. Great value. - Trip Advisor user, 2/5/22
Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Newcastle. Beds are the most comfiest mattresses I’ve ever slept in and the scenery out your balcony is stunning. Good secure car parking as well and great location. Staff are always super friendly. - Chantelle, 5/5/22
From the moment we walked in the foyer a first class experience begun. We could not fault a thing, staff friendly and accomodating, room clean and comfortable, dining was top hat quality, we would highly recommend the Apollo. - Trip Advisor user, 20/4/22
This is a top hotel. The rooms are large and bright, with floor to ceiling glass looking out to a green wooded area. Wifi and air conditioning both work well. Bathroom has full lighting and night lighting. The in-house bar and fine dining restaurant are sensational, and diners come from all over Newcastle to eat there, make sure you book early! There is a lift from rooms direct to basement car park and Tesla car charging is available there. Highly recommended. - David & Poppy, Trip Advisor,15/3/22
No more than 10 km from anywhere we wanted to visit in Newcastle. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast at the restaurant excellent tastes and value. Fabulous pool. Most comfortable beds ever. High quality coffee, teas and toiletries. Very spacious family room, immaculately presented. - Tom V, Tripadvisor, 14/3/22
I had the pleasure of spending a night at the Apollo with a friend. As soon as we entered we were greeted with a friendly smile. The room was smart and well appointed with a balcony looking out on beautiful trees. It felt so relaxing and quiet. We had dinner in the restaurant and loved the food, plentiful and absolutely delicious. Do order dessert!! And, I believe breakfast is also worth staying for! I highly recommend the Apollo and will definitely stay there again - Trip Advisor user, 3/3/22
Highly recommend this hotel. The staff were professional and friendly. The room was very clean, the bathroom was super hygienic. Although being on a main road there was no traffic noise heard in the room. It was a joy to be awoken by birdsong in the mornings and a cup of tea on the balcony was a great additional feature. Meals were generous and of a good variety. - Leonie157, Tripadvisor, 5/2/22
My overnight stay was very pleasant, I asked to check in early which was no problem at all. Staff were extremely pleasant and hospitable, my room service meal was good and service was quick. My large room had a lovely bush outlook and the bed was excellent. I would certainly recommend this establishment! - Vicki G, Google, 28/12/21
